Hello friend of felines!!  September is here, and the Cat Club resumes it's fun and informative packed meetings again.  September 11th we'll be back in Clubhouse 3 (PAC) and there will be "a whole lot of shakin' goin' on" as we learn how to evacuate our pets when disaster strikes.

Emergency! Emergency! You only have minutes to escape! What are the top three things you'll grab as you run out the door?  Well, we hope one of them is your cat!  Katheen Matthews from Disaster Preparedness will educate us in the art of evacuation.  Also on tap, final details on our trip to Shambala and getting psyched up for our Holiday Boutique on November 30th.  Delicious refreshments follow as always.   All are welcome - Guests $3. Hope to see you there.

ANIMALS IN CRISIS

We’re so excited to have Marni Hayman from the Humane Society with us this month. Marni is the Senior Director of Bequest and Annuities for the Humane Society. She’ll be addressing the issue of ‘Animals in Crisis’.  She will be talking about the Humane Society's Animal Rescue Team rescuing animals in man-made and natural disasters. The presentation will be upbeat and positive, focusing on the happy endings for people and animals caught in natural disasters and animals rescued in cases of neglect.

It’s also time to renew your Cat Club Membership and Bonnie will be there to hand out the new forms and take your checks!! Don’t forget those bottles and cans as our Re-cycling program is still going strong.

The Humane Society will be providing light refreshments following the presentation along with our own Pat Kirkwood's Hospitality Committee's goodies.  Please join us for this very special meeting.

About Us

our angel of recycling

"At the June 12th Laguna Woods Village Cat Club meeting, Vicki Robbins was recognized for her hard work and dedication for the recycling project she started back in October 2012.  To date, Vicki has raised more than $10,300 for the foster and adoption program.  It started off very slowly, but has since grown considerably due to all the many wonderful people in the Village who gladly donate their bottles and cans to her to be recycled.  Other clubs that Vicki belongs to have helped in the project over the years as well as her neighbors and friends.   This has made a huge difference in our ability to keep the adoption program funded.  Thank you, Vicki, and we hope you continue this great fund-raising project for many years."
