Any Laguna Woods Village resident interested in cats is eligible for membership.
Nonresident cat lovers are also welcome. (Membership Form)
Dues
Membership dues are $20.00 per year for individuals / $30.00 for household.
Meetings
The Cat Club meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday at 12:30 in Clubhouse 5. Meetings will not take place during the summer months or during the Christmas - New Year holiday period. Programs for meetings will appear in the Laguna Woods Globe and this website.

Pam Dodd, Lost & Found Chairman, and member Lonnie Painter were guests on 'This Day' to talk about our Lost & Found program. They also shared a recent stray the club added to our Adoption Program. Flash is a 4 month old precious tabby who Pam is fostering at the moment.

On May 5, 2022, our President, Bev Elwell and Kristen Escalate, from Smitten with the Kittens was interviewed By Lisa Hart on CH6 – ‘This Day’. Along with Bev, Kristen and Lisa, were 4–week old kittens. These precious little ones were the hit of the show. The focus was on the challenges and rewards of fostering kittens and senior cats. A brief background on the origin and objectives of Smitten was discussed along with requests for donations of food and litter for these rescue program. The greatest challenges and rewards of fostering by seniors was talked about and a video of Jeane, a cat the program was shown. The mission of the Laguna Woods Cat Club, founded in 1971, is to be a major resource for all cat welfare activities in Laguna Woods Village by
1. Engaging in periodic fundraising activities with all proceeds going to the Foster and Adoption program.
2. Utilizing the aforementioned fund to support this rescue, foster and adoption of Laguna Woods’ cats and to provide financial and other resources to qualified Laguna Woods’ residents who need help providing for their cats.
3. Creating a friendly forum where cat lovers can socialize and learn about all things “cat”.
4. Being a major information clearing house on local feline resources, services and events.
5. Coordinating with other cat rescue organizations in Orange and San Diego Counties to share mutual help and support.
