The Laguna Woods Cat Club is a small but mighty band of volunteers who have been rescuing cats in our Village retirement community since 1971. We have an IRS 501 © (3) tax exempt status, and all of the resources for our Foster and Adoption Program are derived from donations and fundraising events. The Mission of this program is to provide loving, permanent homes for cats who come into our care due to abandonment or relinquishment. Our services are reserved for any resident of Laguna Woods Village, and procedures have been established to provide guidance through both relinquishment and adoption. Our highest commitment remains the health and safety of the cats entrusted to our care.

At our next meeting on Wednesday, April 12, at 12:30pm in Clubhouse 5, you’re in for a treat—not Temptations! An old friend and highly respected local veterinarian, Dr. Bernadine Cruz, will be returning to regale us with her post-retirement adventures. First, she unretired and started a new practice in Irvine, called Paw Sweet Paw. Second, after nearly being seriously bamboozled by a scam artist, she learned to retaliate, and we’ll learn how in her presentation, “Senior Scam Awareness and Prevention.” Lastly, she’ll address luggage and scam protection when you travel, especially with pets. You’ll be informed and empowered!
Stay for hospitality! Members—free. Guests--$3.00
SUSAN BROWN MATSUMOTO
Susan's passion for animals - rescues, domestic pets and wildlife, is blended with her passion for photography, which captures the beauty and uniqueness each animal brings into our world, and a view into their souls. A few years ago Susan lost her dear cat, Bailey. She was devastated. A friend suggested she take her love of photography, and of cats, and volunteer with pet rescues. Being part of helping to promote all these pets during the adoption process is what started her healing and made a huge difference in the adoption of cats in all these rescues, including ours!
Please click the link below and spend a few minutes enjoying Susan's inspiring photography and some truly beautiful photographs of cats, including her beloved Bailey.
